Vortex productions is creating the quintessential “green” event for Gainesville by bringing together the finest local artists and crafters for a Green Earth Stewardship Festival and Green Technology Expo. Featuring over 20 of the best green conscious local business and efforts within the Green Village. The Transportation Expo will showcase the latest in lower-impact transportation including the best electric and hybrid autos on the market as well as bicycles, scooters and E-bikes. Also featured: The amazing “Easy Rider Project” which provides up-cycled bicycles to local artists who then compete in a contest for the best of bikes. The resulting auction funds a community enrichment project, “Super Safety Riders”, wherein riders receive helmets, lights, locks and safety classes—all free of charge.

In celebration of the abundance of successful organic farms the area has to offer, food vendors at the Green Man Festival will feature their best vegetarian culinary creations while Florida Fresh Meats—the only “Seed to Flame” meat producer in Florida—will be serving responsible fare: from seed to feed to harvest, they know the whole life of the animals they steward.
